Aziza Al-Tawil
About:
Aziza is a native New Yorker currently living in her mother's home state of West Virginia. She grew up belly dancing on tour with her mother in ethnic venues across the United States and worked with some of the greatest musicians in the world of belly dance music. She first appeared on television locally in NYC, NJ, PA, and CT on the Turkish Voice TV program from age 6 through about age 12. It was also shown in Ankara, Turkey.
She has performed on stage, TV, and in film, notably "Grave Caller" (2018) and "Lock Down Love" (2021). She's also been a contestant and top winner on the Jay Leno/Kevin Eubanks version of "You Bet Your Life." She's also done radio podcast drama, notably "Vaccine Day."
Aziza has also written, directed, and starred in her own short films, sometimes with collaborator and partner Billy Jack Watkins. She has several screenplays and treatments in the works and plans on making a feature length film one day soon.
She is a multi-cultural person and loves genealogy and DNA research. Her ethnic background includes Armenian, Italian, Greek, Celtic, Gypsy, African, Jewish, Asian, and Powhatan and Inuit Tribes of Indigenous Americans.
She is on IMDB and at one point peaked at 60,000 on the "starmeter."
