The film explores the life of a Trinidadian dollar van driver and his journey to support his family. This is an opportunity for non-union actors and non-actors to participate in a meaningful project with an authentic Caribbean narrative.
Roles Available:
- Grimey Driver (Supporting Role)
- Description: Male, Black, in his 40s. A Caribbean man with an arrogant demeanor, driving a van that reflects his tough personality.
- Accent Required: Caribbean accent to bring authenticity to the role.
- Background Actors
- Description: Various individuals to fill background roles, adding vibrancy to the scenes in Brooklyn.
- Additional Requirement: Owners of vans are encouraged to apply, as the production is looking for vehicles to add realism to the setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- For Grimey Driver: Portray the character with an authentic Caribbean presence and attitude. Follow direction to embody the character’s personality and interactions.
- For Background Actors: Participate in various background scenes, contributing to the lively setting of the film.
Requirements:
- Must be available for a one-day shoot in Brooklyn, NY.
- Comfortable with following direction and collaborating with the production team.
- Caribbean accent required for the Grimey Driver role.
Compensation:
- Grimey Driver: $50
- Background Actors: Catering and credit provided.
