Kiree Brooks

Born in Suffern, NY and raised in New Windsor, NY, Kirée Brooks started dancing in her early years at Newburgh Performing Arts Academy in the styles of tap, jazz, ballet, and West African. In 2013, she graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and continued her studies at SUNY Potsdam, receiving her B.A. in Dance. During that time, she performed in multiple showcases, including Story/Time, a work choreographed by Bill T Jones under the direction of Antonio Brown. Following graduation in 2017, she brought her studies abroad to train and presented a solo work in Florence, Italy at the Florence Summer Dance Intensive. In 2018, she moved to NYC to attend The Ailey School, participating in the Independent Study and Certificate program, training in Horton, Graham, and other styles. During her final year, she performed Pessoa Melhor by Tina Bush and Dancing Spirit by Ronald K. Brown as part of the Ailey Student Performance Group before completing the program in 2021. Currently, she is expanding her training, learning salsa and bachata while performing with TORCH Dance Theatre and REDi Dance Company. She actively shares her love of dance through performances, workshops and social dance events around the world. Making her leap into film, Rhythm or Smooth marks her first feature role. She brings her performance experience, energy, and adaptability to the screen, combining her stage and social dance expertise with a strong presence and curiosity for storytelling
