Maanav Goyal

Maanav Goyal (he/him/his) is a South Asian-American creative based in both the NYC and DMV areas. He is currently a student at the New Studio on Broadway, studying Drama at NYU Tisch. In addition to acting, Maanav works as a musician, focusing on Hip-Hop, Jazz, Alternative, R&B, and Musical Theatre stylings, as well as experimenting with South Asian influences in American musical styles. He also writes, working on screenplays, stage plays, and both stage and screen musicals. A primary focus of his work is building further representation in the industry. Being a part of works that not only push the limits of the genre, but also engage the stories of those not frequently told, such as those of his own Asian-American and South Asian heritages. Giving a voice to those who have not been given a voice leads to some of the most personal stories, which are often the best stories.
