Comedic Actor for Irreverent Commercial
Job Description: We are seeking a bold, fearless, and naturally funny comedic actor for an upcoming commercial. The character is a “Kenny Powers”-like figure who embodies the essence of American small businesses with a blend of crass, self-deprecating humor, and witty one-liners. This role requires someone who can deliver punchlines with a straight face and embrace absurdity with unflinching confidence. The character is a larger-than-life personality who lives life to the extreme, whether he’s discussing social media or throwing a baseball at a dartboard.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray a bold, humorous character with a rugged swagger and an unapologetic attitude.
- Deliver scripted lines and improvisational moments with confidence and comedic timing.
- Engage in a variety of activities on set, from casual conversations to physical humor.
- Collaborate with the director and production team to ensure the character’s personality shines through in the commercial.
Requirements:
- Male, aged 35-45 years.
- Appearance: “Dad bod” or “beer gut” with rugged swagger; confidence to pull off a mullet and a mustache (bonus points if you already have one).
- Ability to deliver humor with a straight face and full commitment to the role.
- Prior experience in comedy or improv is preferred.
- Must be local to the Augusta, GA area or willing to work as a local hire.
Compensation:
- Rate: $500 per day (non-union).
- Usage: Digital ads and social media in perpetuity.
