Greg Meeres

I had the unique experience of being an original cast member of Happy Gilmore. If you look closely, I’m the guy in the green jersey standing next to Adam Sandler. It all started one dark and stormy night in 1995 when Adam walked into Cyclone Taylor Sports, the hockey shop I was managing at the time. He and his stunt coordinator, Doug (if memory serves me right), were decked out in ball caps and sunglasses—quite the look for a stormy night! I approached them, and what was supposed to be a quick visit turned into a two-hour fitting session. During that time, we hit it off (or so I like to think!), and before I knew it, Adam invited me to be part of the movie. Fast forward to 2005, I launched my video production company, where I’ve been working as a director/producer for short-form broadcast, corporate, and non-profit media. While acting isn’t really my thing, I thought it might be fun to apply for a role in Happy Gilmore 2—a bit of a reunion, perhaps! (Just kidding, of course!)
