Georgia filmed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is the biggest-grossing Christmas week release of all time in America.
Dwayne Johnson’s latest movie has overpowered the box office. Last weekend, the movie has made over $33 million over the Friday-Monday MLK weekend. In total, the movie will take home a cumulative $289 million in the United States alone. That means the $90 million movie is the biggest-grossing Christmas week release of all time in North America.
The movie is dominating the box office internationally too, with a running total of over $667 million worldwide, it had a very solid opening in China with $40 million. Making it the biggest Christmas week release in the world.
Jumanji centers around a group of explorers go looking for the humankind game that had ended up in a mystical jungle. The movie features Karen Gillan, Dwayne Johnson, and Kevin Hart and directed by Jake Kasdan.
