Charlie Sheen Accused of Plotting Murder of His Former Assistant

Date:

Charlie Sheen has been accused of murder by Lenny Dykstra, an ex-con, and former professional baseball player.

Dykstra spoke to the Hollywood Reporter about his rocky friendship with the actor prior to the big fallout. He made several accusations including claiming Sheen was “on the verge of being prosecuted” for knowingly exposing his partners to HIV, and was under federal investigation for tax fraud; however, his most explosive accusation is that Sheen orchestrated the murder of his ex-assistant.

The alleged victim is Rick Calamaro, a former employee of Charlie Sheen, who as found dead in 2012. Calamaro’s maid reportedly discovered his body “lying face up in his bed beside a bottle of Jack Daniel’s.” Though authorities later deemed the death “accidental,” as it was caused by a lethal mix of anxiety and pain medication, Dykstra claims Sheen actually admitted to murdering the man.

Dykstra claims that Calamaro was working on a tell-all book about Sheen’s life, and the actor did whatever it took to prevent its release.

Sheen allegedly confessed to the crime shortly after Dykstra was released from prison several years ago.

After he got out of jail, says Dykstra, he asked Sheen, “What the fuck happened to Calamaro?” who had overdosed while Dykstra was in prison. “He said, ‘You mean Dead Rick? What fucking happened is the motherfucker tried to blackmail me just like you said—wanted $5 million. I had him fucking iced.’ He said he had a hot dose put in there,” using slang for a lethal intravenous injection prepared for an unsuspecting victim. (Dykstra again offers no proof his recollection is accurate, and Sheen’s current lawyer, Shane Bernard, issued a denial of the allegations, noting Dykstra’s “laundry list of crimes” and asserting that his “disturbing, vile and outright ridiculous claims” are unreliable.)

Dykstra has plans to release a documentary about Sheen’s life and he said he is not afraid of the consequences.

“Charlie is getting what he deserves,” he said. “When you’ve been where I’ve been, I’m not afraid of anything.”
