Atlanta storms wreak havoc on Georgia’s film industry.
According to Weather.com, it is expected to rain every day this week. Then, on Sunday, Tammy Smith Casting, the casting director behind Marvel’s latest hit movie Black Panther, took to Facebook to break the news.
“This week, as most of you know, we have big storms coming in. Of course, to make things difficult, we have several scenes on our shows, that will have to move around depending on how the storm systems move thru Atlanta, on a daily basis.” As a result, several scheduled film shoots have been rescheduled or on hold.”
This is not the first time Georgia’s weather has sent the film industry in a flux. Earlier this year, snowstorms caused many productions to shut down temporarily.
That being said, do not expect a few inches of rain to shut down Georgia’s behemoth of an industry. With over 30 different shows and movies filming in the state, there is no stopping Georgia’s film industry.
