Jeanette Castro
About:
Jeanette Castro has been singing since taught the alphabet. Since youth, she has participated in numerous choirs, show choirs, and competitions even throughout college. In 1997, won First Division in the Texas Klein ISD Solo & Ensemble. In 1998, won First Division at the University Interscholastic League Texas School Solo & Ensemble at the age of 12. During college, she joined the University of Central Florida's Contemporary A Cappella group, So Noted, and competed in ICCA, the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella. After completing a bachelors in psychology and a minor in theatre, she is interested in furthering her performing arts interest to the next level. Jeanette's first professional film experience was working in the Starz Channel cable TV series, Magic City, as a recurring background artist portraying different characters of the 1960 era, and has experience as a local background actor since. While having not achieved any theatre credits due to circumstantial events that occur once accepting a role, this just makes her thirst for expressing herself and wanting to perform that much more desirable. Jeanette has been fond of musical theatre since youth, and she is looking to pursue more film acting roles, and, of course, singing positions with a main interest in the Broadway industry.
