Emperor starring Dayo Okeniyi is now casting bearded African American actors in Savannah, Georgia.
Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on Thursday, July 5th in Savannah, Georgia.
Producers are seeking the following types:
- Seeking African American men ages 18+ with beards and ideally with afros. To suit the 1850’s period – a softer, rougher look is better than a fade or a fresh edged up look. Pay is $64/8hrs and $20 for pre-fitting, Non-Union, Local hire – no housing or travel provided.
About Emperor:
The film is inspired by the true story of Shields Green, a slave who makes a daring escape to freedom, meets Frederick Douglass, and decides to fight alongside John Brown at Harpers Ferry. The film will be directed by Mark Amin and produced by Cami Winikoff and Reginald Hudlin. The movie will star Dayo Okeniyi (Hunger Games).
Filming will take place from Mid-June through late July in Savannah, GA.
