Teen Women Rugby/AFL/Combat Sports Casting Call

Job Description
A major Australian feature film is casting a teen female athlete for a lead support role. Casting directors are seeking a dynamic teen woman aged 17–20 who plays Rugby (Union or League), AFL, or any form of combat sport such as wrestling, boxing, or MMA. Applicants must be based in Australia or New Zealand and will be considered regardless of professional acting experience or cultural background.

The story centers around three local boys and their pursuit of three private school girls in an isolated coastal town. The script includes mature themes such as sex, drugs, and violence and may not be suitable for all audiences.

You’ll be playing FERG, a tall, broad, and athletic future Olympic sprinter with a fierce competitive streak. FERG is known as the “total weapon”—naturally shy, loyal to her friends, and willing to stand her ground. This character requires natural, grounded performance, and applicants are encouraged to use their own accent. Kiwi applicants may be asked to perform both in their native accent and with an Australian accent.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray a leading teen athlete character in an Australian feature film

  • Deliver grounded, naturalistic performances

  • Participate in full shoot schedule from September to November 2025

  • Perform dialogue in your natural accent (and potentially an Australian accent)

  • Submit two videos: one scene tape and one ID tape (name, height, location, cultural background, and agent)

Requirements

  • Female-identifying talent aged 17–20

  • Must currently or recently have played Rugby, AFL, or a combat sport (e.g., MMA, boxing)

  • No professional acting experience necessary

  • Comfortable with themes of sex, drugs, and violence

Compensation

  • Paid opportunity

  • Travel and accommodation covered

  • Professional acting support provided for new talent
