Job Description: Odd Arts is seeking dynamic young actors for an upcoming theatrical production focused on the important subject of school consent. This project aims to provide a creative and engaging perspective on consent, fostering awareness and dialogue among school-age audiences. We are looking for individuals who can portray characters between the ages of 12 and 15. This play will require actors to perform in scenarios that may involve sensitive topics, therefore, a mature understanding and respectful approach to the subject matter is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the director and fellow actors to bring the script to life.

  • Participate in all rehearsals and perform in scheduled shows.

  • Engage with physical theatre techniques to express emotions and narratives without relying solely on dialogue.

  • Represent the production with professionalism during all public interactions.

  • Provide feedback and creative input during the development of the play.

Requirements:

  • Must have a playing age of 12-15 years.

  • Comfortable with or have an interest in elements of movement and physical theatre.

  • Ability to memorize lines and directions quickly and accurately.

  • Openness to discuss and perform in plays dealing with sensitive topics.

  • Previous acting experience is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Must be available for all rehearsal dates and the performance schedule.

Compensation:

  • Competitive fee, commensurate with experience and role.
