Casting Call: Female Voice-Over Artist (Non-Union PSA)
Project Synopsis: We seek a talented and musically inclined Female Voice Artist for a non-union PSA titled “Section 8 Mobility.” The NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal commissions the project. It aims to encourage Section 8 voucher holders to utilize their vouchers in neighborhoods with better opportunities and resources for families. The PSA will have a spoken word vibe with a positive and robust lyrical hook.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform voice-over narration for the PSA script, delivering it with a spoken word style and rhythmic flair.
- Collaborate with the production team to bring out the PSA’s intended emotional impact and message.
- Record voice-over remotely according to the provided guidelines and specifications.
- Provide high-quality raw, clean audio files for submission.
Requirements:
- Female voice artist in the mid-20s to mid-30s.
- Strong understanding of bars, rhythm, and musicality in voice delivery.
- Seasoned storytelling skills to effectively communicate the message and emotion of the script.
- Ability to deliver a positive, strong, and lyrical hook while maintaining authenticity and sincerity.
- Access to a professional recording setup to ensure top-notch audio quality.
- Must adhere to all project terms and guidelines, including deadlines and recording specifications.
- No union affiliation is required.
Compensation:
- $500 per session for voice-over recording.
- $300 buyout for the usage rights of the recorded voice-over.
- 10% talent agency fee, if applicable.
