Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for producing daily carrier paperwork at the DC’s and facilitates the distribution to contractors
Coordinates the flow of product (newspapers and newspaper inserts) throughout the distribution center with a primary emphasis on quality control
Quality Control includes identifying, accounting and exchanging damaged or spoiled products with clean, unwrinkled and readable products
Accurately places and verifies quantity of product in correct staging locations (Carts, carrier stations, or other designated locations)
Responsible for distributing Advanced Product at carrier stations prior to delivery time.
Troubleshoots open delivery areas and communicates with District Managers.
Produces Computer generated Route Lists for carriers that request them ahead of distribution.
Experience, and Knowledge Requirements:
Considerable knowledge of forklifts and power jacks and their operation.
Good knowledge of product identification.

Skill Requirements:
Coordination — Adjusting actions in relation to others’ actions.
Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively.
Active listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Reading comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents such as safety manuals and order of delivery bags.

Ability to communicate information and ideas in both speaking and writing so others will understand

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide quickly and correctly.

Ability to attend to details, thereby minimizing errors

Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Ability to recognize product differences.

Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your tow hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects to pick up, move and help load bundles of newspaper or operate a power pallet jack.

Physical Requirements (sensory acuity)

The job requires the following demands daily: Hear normal conversation, hear faint sounds, signals, etc., see nearby objects, have accurate depth perception, have accurate color vision, and speak clearly so someone else can understand what you say.

Physical Requirements (coordination, dexterity and strength):

The job requires the following physical demands daily: balancing, bending, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, jumping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs., pulling and pushing in excess of 200 lbs, reaching, standing, stooping, twisting, turning, sitting, walking, and rapid working speed.

The job requires the following physical demands less than once a week: throwing.

Work Environment:

Daily exposed to: Extreme cold or heat for prolonged periods and moving vehicles.

More than once or twice a week and less than daily exposed to: temperature changes, high humidity, dryness, wetness, dust, and outdoors subject to weather conditions.

Once or twice a week exposed to: Slippery footing and caustics.

Less than once a week exposed to: Loud noise (higher than 80 dB), vibration, and fumes, mists, and gases.
