Job Details: We are seeking talented actors to fill the lead and supporting roles in the upcoming SAG/AFTRA short film “God & Buddha Are Friends,” directed by Anthony Ma. This narrative explores the complex relationship between faith and family through the eyes of a young boy.

Roles:

• ESTHER (Supporting Role): A kind-hearted and open-minded pre-teen girl, aged between 10-16 years old. She is Andy’s mother, a devoted Christian who helps her son navigate his spiritual journey.

Job Responsibilities:

• Portraying the character according to the director’s vision.
• Learning and memorizing lines.
• Attending all rehearsals, fittings, and meetings as required.
• Collaborating with other actors and the production team.
• Participating in promotional activities for the film if needed.

Requirements:

• For ESTHER: Female actor of Chinese or Taiwanese descent, aged between 10-16 years old. Must be fluent in English, familiar with Mandarin Chinese, and comfortable with singing worship songs.

Compensation:

• Pay is in line with SAG/AFTRA short film agreement standards.
• Travel expenses covered if residing outside the Los Angeles area.
