Shoot Weeks: Shooting July 10th (week), July 17th (week), and July 24th (week) in San Francisco. Each trainer would be needed for up to 5 days somewhere in that date range. Background talent would be needed for up to 2 days in that date range.

Audition Instructions for Trainers: Workouts are linked here. Please send us a 15 minute example of your workout class, using the workouts as a template if needed. Please include the Intro and Outro from the template. We are looking to see how you teach a class, so don’t worry if your sequence does not align with the example. You’re welcome to riff and showcase your personality. Please instruct and demonstrate the positions.

Audition Instructions for Background: Please slate your name and show us a workout routine. You do not need to speak while working out. 5 minutes maximum.

On-Camera Lead Fitness Trainer Casting Call Brief

A major fitness brand is looking for fitness instructors with experience in leading group fitness classes or on-camera workouts to join our team. The workouts will range from 2–30 minutes each to be released on a subscription based app. Our main focuses will be on bodyweight strength training, cardio, and mobility/stretching, but all exercise disciplines and body types are welcome and will be considered.

Specs:

  • All Ages
  • All races
  • All gender Identities
  • All body types (More plus-sized trainers needed)
  • Previous on-camera experience is a bonus, but not required
  • 10 English speaking trainers (open to all ethnicities)
  • 3 German Speaking trainers (open to all ethnicities)
  • 2 Japanese speaking trainers (ethnicity needs to be Japanese)

Background talent:

  • 7 Background talent, 20-50, all genders, all ethnicities. Non speaking, will be following a workout routine guided by the trainer.

Requirements:

  • Have experience in group exercise instruction or previous on-camera or live performance experience (live workouts, theater, studio acting, commercials, etc.)
  • Able to travel to San Francisco and commit to up to 5 days for filming, rehearsals, and practice.
  • Be coachable, have an understanding of the exercise they are performing, and be able to coach and talk about moves without the need to be fed lines
  • Complete 2-30 minute workouts while maintaining the stamina to talk and exercise simultaneously

Preferred Qualities:

  • Be certified by a nationally recognized organization (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, Yoga Alliance, etc.)
  • Specialty in a specific exercise category (Kettlebell, yoga, cycling, mobility, older adult work outs, etc.)
  • Social media reach or following is not required, but considered
  • Be able to write or create their own workouts. These workouts must be scalable, include modifications (progressions and regressions) where appropriate, and be in line with the brand philosophies

LOCATION: San Francisco, California

RATE:

  • Trainers: $2,500/day + 20%. Will accommodate travel if booked.
  • Background: $625/day + 20%. No travel rate.

USAGE: Digital, social, app – 3 years, and archival.
