The deFIANT is looking for an assertive and energetic Publicist who is both strategic and proactive to join our Fashion and Beauty Media division in Los Angeles.

Our preferred candidate is a skilled PR professional with a network of media contacts and a solid track record of securing media placements for high profile clients. The Publicist will be committed to delivering quality work in alignment with client goals to achieve desired results.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant PR agency, in-house, or freelance communications expertise with consumer or lifestyle clients in the beauty, fashion, luxury industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail is a must

Skills:

  • History of pitching and securing media coverage
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and tasks
  • Experience with developing and maintaining relationships with press and influencers in Los Angeles
  • Create and edit written pitches and assets

Experience:

  • Experience working with senior-level executives
  • Possesses a great mix of entertainment and emerging technology industry knowledge, including social media
  • Experience in FASHION or BEAUTY publicity is necessary

Duties:

  • Pitch and secure media coverage of campaigns, products, and events for clients
  • Communicate and participate in meetings with clients
  • Collaborate with media, influencer, and partnership teams to achieve client deliverables

We are looking for an experienced marketer to own and manage Influencer Marketing strategy for the brands we represent across gifting, events and activations, and social content. This person will be responsible for the development and execution of brand influencer marketing campaigns across social channels.

THE CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCATED IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA. THE POSITION IS FULL-TIME (NOT REMOTE).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee influencer marketing to drive brand awareness, including organic gifting, paid relationships, brand ambassadors, strategic partnerships & more.
  • Curate and create social content.
  • Research and develop new relationships with influencers
  • Able to execute multiple facets of client programs, including social strategy and development, paid media strategy, content creation, and analytics and reporting.
  • You will craft innovative/advantageous partnerships with social media influencers and content creators who can drive orders, spread positive word of mouth, and increase overall brand reach.
  • Negotiate paid influencer deals, memorialized in deal memos and contracts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience managing influencer marketing for direct-to-consumer brands
  • Experience in fashion or beauty preferred
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills
  • Skills as a Social Media Wizard who is well-versed in all platforms (IG, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, etc., and in tune with how the Influencer Marketing landscape differs across each respective platform.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
