HAIRSPRAY’ VIRTUAL OPEN CALL

The Tony Award winning Broadway production of HAIRSPRAY is going on a 1st class tour of Australia starting July 2022 and we are casting talent from the US for the roles of ‘Seaweed’, the ‘Dynamites’, and the ‘Motormouth’ singing/dancing ensemble.

Seaweed Casting: 

  • Male, African/American
  • To Play high school age. Penny boyfriend, cool, sexy,street smart, goodhearted.
  • Good Actor with strong young masculine presence.
  • Strong soulful, tenor pop singer, and great mover.
  • Tenor to Bb with strong Falceto.
  • PRINCIPAL

This tour is AEA non jurisdictional as its overseas, and the salary is comparable to US AEA tours.
Valid US Passports required. In person auditions are happening in NYC on May 4th 2022!

  • To play high school age 
  • Dancers and singers who hangout and dance with Motormouth and her record shop.
  • ENSEMBLE
