Anja Voges

Anja Voges is a queer, mixed-race, Asian American dancer of Filipino-German descent. Originally from Connecticut, Anja has trained in a wide range of dance styles including contemporary, improvisation, modern (Horton technique), hip-hop, West African, ballet, and choreography. From a young age, she also acted in a local commercial and was a competitive cheerleader. In 2023, Anja graduated cum laude from American University in Washington, DC. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and International Studies with concentrations in human rights and Asian diaspora studies. Currently based in Boston, Massachusetts, she recently finished her first season with BoSoma Dance Company and Infinity Dance Collective, dancing in her first music video, while also growing her arts administration and marketing career. Anja has debuted six original choreographies over the years and is interested in continuing her movement research practice and choreographic endeavors. As a dancer, choreographer, and individual in this world, Anja is passionate about using movement as a vessel for storytelling, healing, community, and joy.
