Rachel Marsh

As a Film and Video Editor, I am passionate about creating engaging and impactful visual stories using various digital technologies and software programs. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from DePaul University, where I learned the fundamentals of filmmaking, cinematography, and post-production. I have gained valuable experience in the non-profit and customer service sectors, as well as in freelance videography and social media content editing. Most recently, I worked as an Assistant Video Editor (intern) at Beige Video, a production company that specializes in documentaries and commercials. There, I assisted the senior editors with editing, color grading, sound mixing, and animation, using Adobe Creative Suite. I also collaborated with the directors, producers, and clients to ensure the quality and consistency of the final products. Additionally, I have been involved in the Chicago International Film Festival for over a year, first as an Operations Team Intern and then as a Theater Manager, where I coordinated the screenings, managed the volunteers, and handled the customer service. I am always open-minded and willing to learn new skills and techniques to improve my craft and adapt to different projects and platforms. I have excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills, which enable me to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. My goal is to pursue a career in film and video editing that allows me to express my creativity, challenge my abilities, and contribute to meaningful and inspiring stories.
